Change in Door Entry Time

Beginning, April 26th we will begin in-person learning five days a week. We will also be adjusting the time doors open for students to 8:55 a.m. This is more in line with a typical school year. Staff will begin supervision at 8:50 a.m., but we would encourage students to come to school closer to 8:55 a.m. when doors will open. Thanks!

Monday, April 19th is a SIP Day. Students will not attend school.

Westgate's New Assistant Principal

Pending the Board of Education's approval on May 6th, we will welcome Mrs. Allie Yoder as our new Assitant Principal. Currently, Mrs. Yoder is a special education teacher and leader in Skokie School District 69. Mrs. Yoder will be visiting Westgate later this spring and will attend the May 19th PTA meeting. We look forward to having her join us at Westgate next year!

Update from the Department of Facilities Management

District 25 intends to apply a granular fertilizer and crabgrass pre-emergent to our properties in the coming weeks to help maintain the grass and reduce muddy conditions onsite. Please follow this link to access the complete notice: LINK

ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge

REGISTER TODAY for the 10th Annual ABC/25 GetBurbed Challenge on April 24, 2021!

Online registration ends on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

There are still time slots available for the in-Person 1 Mile Run being held on April 24, 2021 at South Middle School! You can also chose do to the Virtual 1 Mile or 5K that you can complete anytime before May 2, 2021.

Vandalism

We have experienced some vandalism around Westgate over the past few weeks. Cones used to assist traffic have been thrown on the roof. We would appreciate any extra set of eyes when families are out and about around the school. Please reach out if you see anything unsual.
