On Wednesday, we commenced the Lenten season with our Ash Wednesday Mass. Fr Anthony took the opportunity to provide us with a practical lesson about Lent. I don't think the children will forget his homily in a hurry! I found the Fast from Lent poster during the week and think it offers some practical suggestions for the next 40 days!

SACRAMENTAL ENROLMENT MASSES

A reminder that on Saturday, March 7 at 6.30pm and Sunday, March 8 at 10.30 am we will be celebrating special enrolment masses for students receiving Sacraments in 2020 . If your child in Years 3, 4 or 6 will be receiving the Sacrament of Penance, Communion or Confirmation, you need to attend one of the two masses on this weekend to commit to preparing for the Sacrament later in the year.

PARENT/CARER INFORMATION SESSION

Thank you to those who attended our first session today in the Library facilitated by our wonderful Social Worker Kath - on Restorative Practises. It's important for everyone to understand the process of managing behaviour and what we do at Orana. We received feedback form parents/carers requesting an evening session and will look to do this from Term 2. This will assist parents/carers with work commitments to attend. If you have suggestions for topics, please email them to Kathryn.Warburton@cewa.edu.au.

We are very pleased to announce we now have a fully staffed Executive P&F Committee for 2020!!! The committee have already met and discussions are underway for the P&F calendar for 2020.

It is time to spread the news - share through social media platforms - the announcement that Orana is turning 40! The details for the celebration are:

Orana Reunion, Saturday 28 March. Starting at 1.00pm, show at 2pm, closes at 4pm. There will be music, food trucks, photo booth, planting and lots more fun.

Would love our current parents/carers who were here as students to help us bring as many together as possible for our big day.
