Principal's Message
Greetings Springwater Students and Families,
What a wonderful day today out at Dabney State Park! The students were phenomenal -- pitching in to support the forest and beautify the park! There was also plenty of fun to be had as well: leadership came up with wonderful afternoon activities including face painting, capture the flag, volleyball, arts and crafts, and lounging around enjoying nature.
Next week, juniors and seniors have another opportunity to see a play: Number the Stars at Clackamas Community College. Students will head over to the theater on Wednesday, May 25th and return by the end of the school day.
Looking a little further out, on Friday, June 3rd is our school wide Springfest! In the morning students will complete ACCESS periods (the special periods that usually fall on a Wednesday) to get caught up on work and retake tests. In the afternoon we will have an array of fun activities for students, including a dunk tank where they can try their luck to soak the staff. Fingers crossed we have warm weather! The day is a great way to celebrate the end of the school year. Another STHS tradition we are excited to reclaim after the past several years.
Enjoy the beautiful weekend and please reach out with questions or concerns.

Jocelyn Lopez-Salazar
Grade: 9
Interests: In school, painting or sculpture. Outside of school, it would be painting nails or working sometimes. I usually work with my parents building my grandpa’s house right now.
Favorite subject in school: It would be mostly art. Mostly because you can do anything with painting. You can transmit the feelings you have, like how your day was, or anything.
Favorite thing about STHS: It’s actually a small school. You know everybody. You can help other people. People can help you. Small community.
Kaden Springsted
Grade: 10
Interests: Very into playing basketball with all my friends. Trying to get as good as I can in the time I have. I want to try to join a high school basketball team.
Favorite subject in school: It would have to be Science because it’s so amazing to learn all of the things he (McBride) teaches. It’s awesome.
Favorite thing about STHS: How nice all the staff and teachers are and how cooperative everybody is.
Rayden Rickaby
Grade: 11
Interests: I’m interested in cars. Be that the body work of cars or the mechanics of cars. I really am interested in mechanics. It changes so often, but today my favorite car is the Corvette Z71. It has an 8-speed transmission and can go real quick.
Favorite subject in school: Basically anything computer related. That’s a wide umbrella term. While that be Computer Applications, Photography, Graphic Design, almost anything that Gerards teaches.
Favorite thing about STHS: It would probably have to be the size of the school. It lets you become more 1-on-1 with the teachers and students. Most of the time you can get friends and friend groups, unlike you can in bigger schools. Feels more collaborative, like everyone is working to get you through, not pushing you out the door. They’re actually trying to make you succeed.
