ABECC Weekly Update for Families

As we get into the colder months of the year, please send you child in with a hat and gloves or mittens. If you need these items, we have plenty of extras!

This week, many of the preschool classes are working on their "Gingerbread" theme including reading the book The Gingerbread Girl. Click the link to reread the book at home.

Kindergarten has continued the unit on farms. Here's a book they have been reading in class - ask your child to help you find items that begin with v or w.

• AM preschool dismissal 10:35
• No PM preschool
• K Dismissal at 12:00 - Kid Stop WILL be in session until 3:00

• 12/26-1/1 - No School, Winter Break

• 1/2 - Return to School

• 1/12 - No School for Students (staff professional development)

• 1/15 - No School (Martin Luther King Holiday)

• 1/24 - Early Release

• 1/25 - Sports Day - Wear your favorite sports gear to school

• Did you know?! The ABECC averages 350 pounds per week of collected uneaten food and trays diverted from landfill (or incinerator) and instead turns into soil. It's amazing!
