A MESSAGE FROM DR. HARRISON
Hello Legacy Families!
I would like to begin by letting you know how much your teachers, office staff, and I appreciate each of you. The flexibility and grace you each have demonstrated throughout the last two weeks exemplify what makes our LMA community such a special place.
We are looking forward to seeing you all in person again soon. We are working closely with our district administrative team to develop a plan with a focus on our students and staff’s safety and in-person instruction as the top priorities. We look forward to sharing this plan with you soon.
We hope that you are able to enjoy this week with family and friends, catching up on some much-deserved rest and relaxation. We appreciate your ongoing support of Legacy Magnet Academy and look forward to continuing with a wonderful year as we partner together to deliver the best program to our students!
Thank you!

Take care and stay safe,

Message from Dr. Johnson
Dear LMA and Heritage Families:
As we move into the Thanksgiving Recess, we want to continue to acknowledge the difficulties and hardships the Tustin Hangar fire incident has presented for our entire community, especially our Heritage Elementary School and Legacy Magnet Academy (LMA) students, staff, and families. We want to express our deepest appreciation for your collective grace and patience during this time. We continue to work closely with the Incident Management Team (IMT), in addition to local, State and Federal agencies to get all of our schools safely reopened.
Please know that we recognize the resiliency and determination you have demonstrated over the past eleven days. We continue to work on reopening plans and contingencies, including the exploration of multiple options, specific to LMA and Heritage, students, and staff. We will continue to share updates with you throughout the Thanksgiving Recess and are committed to continuous communication.
With gratitude,
Mark Johnson, Ed.D.

Hi! My name is Jocelyn, and I’m excited to be a part of the first graduating class of LMA. I have actively served as CFO in ASB for 3 years, establishing the student store, implementing operational systems, and coordinating community service projects. Beyond that, I enjoy scrapbooking, music, and friends & family. After high school, I plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree, preferably in California, majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. I get excited about balancing numbers and I’m eager to learn more, thanks to my ASB, Virtual Enterprise, and CHOC hospital internship experience.
Through Legacy, I’ve learned the importance of reaching out for opportunities and the significance of communication in leadership. I’m thankful for the real-world skills we’ve learned at Legacy, for example, public speaking, being culturally competent, and business management. As for the future, I’m excited to see where it takes me. Although sometimes it’s scary to think about because of its uncertainty, I know living in the present is most important. In ten years I hope to have a stable job that I enjoy, either in finance or teaching, or maybe even being the owner of a stationary store. :) I honestly have no clue but I hope I’m living a fulfilling life in happiness.
