Thank you for all you do each day to help support our school. We had an AMAZING Trunk or Treat Event on Friday, October 27th! It was so wonderful seeing our school community come together and celebrate. Also, thank you so much for your support with our NEXT LEVEL Fundraiser. We have raised approximately $22,000.00 for our school. The students are looking forward to celebrating their success at our "Day of Awesome" event tomorrow.

For the safety of your child, we will ask all parents/caregivers for identification when picking up your children from school. If you do not have your car tag; we must ask for your identification. Even though you may be a familiar face and we know who you are, your child's SAFETY is paramount. There is no early dismissal after 1:00 PM. Please see our November calendar at the bottom of the Newsletter.

Citrus Cove Elementary would like to thank Ms. Kopf & her Tuscany Bay community for taking the time to provide resources and materials for Ms. Zawrotny's class. Tuscany Bay Women's group purchased an individual pumpkin for each student in the class to enjoy and decorate during the Fall season. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity.

Some of our students at CCES engaged in a PUMPKIN PROJECT to promote literacy. Students used a book from literature to inspire them to use their CREATIVE MINDS by illustrating a favorite book or character from a book using a PUMPKIN.

Mrs. Cointepoix's students, Malaysia and Olivia, reached 100% fluency with multiplication and division to the 12s on Reflex Math!

They earned a certificate and prizes! BRAVO!!!

Citrus Cove Elementary would like to extend a warm THANK YOU to all parents, caregivers, and community partners who adopted their child's class. We truly appreciate families who adopted their child's class at all donation levels. We recognize our Gold Level, Panther Pride, & Panther Partner in our school newsletter. We are having Fall Makeup Picture Day on November 14th for our 1st GRADE students & for any student who was absent on our original Picture Day, on September 28th. Students must wear their school uniform on this day since their picture will be featured in our school yearbook.

We are so grateful for CCES Custodial Team for working so hard to keep our school beautiful. A big THANK YOU to Ms. Judith, Ms. Ness, Mr. Illes, Ms. Maria, Ms. Rosa, Mr. Cassamajor, & Mr. Fritz.

Literacy Night was extraordinary! We had about 400 parents and students join us at this special event. A BIG THANK YOU to Ms. Colletta & Ms. Correia for planning and executing this night of learning and fun for our families. We truly appreciate all of the hard work and dedication of our teachers, staff, custodial team, and office staff for volunteering and helping during this fun event. We hope everyone enjoyed the training, interactive stations, Scholastic Book Fair, City of Boynton Beach Library, and registering for the New World Reading Initiative. A special THANK YOU to our Scouts, Mr. Placido, & Ms. Lowy Pyser.

I would like to extend a warm THANK YOU to Mrs. Orloski & Mrs. Fischetti for doing such an AMAZING job representing our school at the Choice Showcase of Schools at the Fairgrounds. It was a fun and memorable evening where we were able to feature our school and recruit some future PANTHERS. I may be a little partial, but our booth was the BEST!!! It was so nice to see our Fifth Grade parents and students at the event looking forward to their future; yet letting us know how they don't want to leave the LOVE of CCES (this is what we are all about). A BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Barica, Mrs. Richards, Mr. Koesten, Mrs. Dockswell, Mrs. Wolfman, Ms. Begleiter, & Mrs. Soto for joining us on Tuesday, October 17th to help support our school!

On October 5th, our 5th-grade students visited primary classrooms to read to students to celebrate National Literacy Day. Our students did a wonderful job reading to students, creating interactive activities, and asking comprehension questions. We are so proud of our Panthers.

Citrus Cove Elementary was proud to WELCOME Captain Michael Kelley to Citrus Cove Elementary School on October 26th to read "With Lots of Love" to Ms. Reid's 1st Grade Class. We appreciate Mr. Placido for facilitating this event and we look forward to having more guest readers next school year!

We had a very exciting Walk or Roll to school day. Our families truly enjoyed engaging in physical activity together as a family. We even had music playing outside as students entered the front of the school. Thank you to Coach Ross & Coach Lunsford for taking charge of this important and fun initiative!

Dr. Cruz & I had the pleasure to attend the final Math Academics Games Competition at John I. Leonard High School last night and the AWARDS ceremony. We were so impressed with how well our students represented our school at the event. Our CCES Team WON 5th Place overall out of 18 Teams. Gracie T. won an Honorable Mention and was in the TOP 10, which will allow her to compete at the State Level. Diya S. won 1st Place OVERALL for the ENTIRE DISTRICT and will compete in the National Competition which will be held in Atlanta Georgia. A special thank you to Mr. Koesten for leading and supporting this OUTSTANDING TEAM! We are so very PROUD of our PANTHERS.

I would like to THANK, Ms. Begleiter for hosting our KRAVIS ON THE ROAD performance, Once Upon a Time in Florida for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students on October 23rd. The students were so engaging in this enriching experience for our Panthers!
