PUSD Students
If You Are Graduating Or Leaving PUSD
Returning Chromebooks, Hotspots, and Chargers
Only students graduating or leaving PUSD need to return their technology devices. Please follow these steps to return your devices:
- K - 5th Grade Students, please CLICK HERE to submit a ticket so that our Techs can reach out and make an appointment for you to turn in these devices at our Curbside Tech Support location.
- 6th - 12th Grade Students, please include these technology items when you return your textbooks and library books to your school site. CLICK HERE to see your checklist to complete before arriving to return your materials.
Rebooting Your Chromebook
In order to ensure that your device is up to date and working properly, please be sure to reboot your device weekly. In order to reboot, you can click on the red Sign Out button, or click on the status bar and select Sign Out button in the menu that pops up.
If you are experiencing any issues with your device, please be sure to submit a ticket by visiting gopusd.com/helpdesk to submit a ticket with our ITS team. If you are unable to access this site, you can call our HelpDesk at 626-396-3699.

Canvas Updates
Welcome to CANVAS: INTRODUCTORY WEEK, a headstart in getting comfortable with the new capabilities you will have in our next learning management system.
PUSD has selected Canvas' premium training and support package. Embracing the model of remote learning, you will have a lot of voice & choice in your self-paced learning options. If you have not already begun accessing these options, now is the time!
Scroll to see the intro-level training options recommended at this time. We ask that you engage in at least one of these options before the school year ends.
Note: Summer Institute will include next-level trainings, for which supplemental pay will be provided. Registration for Summer Institute will be available on May 22.
1. "Growing with Canvas"
This comprehensive course has already been pushed out to your dashboard! There are 6 modules, which you can complete at your own pace.
*If you do not have "Growing with Canvas" in your dashboard, put in a ticket with ITS here: gopusd.com/helpdesk
2. Training Services Portal
Accessed via the "Help?" button on your Canvas dashboard, you'll find there are two types of training you can partake in:
Asynchronous pre-recorded sessions in the Learning Library
Synchronous live sessions with Canvas trainers in the Training Calendar
The table below provides a curated list of sessions, recommended for each training type.
Phishing Scams
We would like to remind all of PUSD about email phishing scams that could possibly show up in your email accounts. If you receive an email that seems suspicious, please check the actual email address it came from. If and email contains strange or suspicious content or requests, please remember these tips:
- Don't click on any links
- Don't provide personal information
- Don't forward the email
- Don't purchase gift cards or items
- Verify the sender's email address

Hapara Highlights Update
Hapara has identified some issues that they are working to resolve. We hope to be able to test the Highlights extension soon. However, if your students are still experiencing a proxy pop-up while visiting an site, please let us know. You can do this by submitting a ticket for your student, if they are early elementary, or by having you student(s) submit their own ticket by visiting, gopusd.com/helpdesk.
