Congratulations -- Class of 2019
Summer is officially here. On behalf of the entire staff of St. Vincent de Paul School, we would like to wish you a relaxing and fun-filled break! We will miss having your children here over the summer. It's always so quiet. We would also like to thank everyone for another great year and for your continued support.
The office will remain open over summer with limited hours.

Summer assignments went home with your child. If you would like to peruse the recommended reading list from Kindergarten through 8th grade use the link below. Assignments for all classes are also posted on the site.
School supply lists, the updated School Year Calendar and the Calendar of Yearly Events for 2019-2020 are posted on the school page at Beehively. See links below.
Families with middle school students in grades 6th through 8th are required to equip their student with an iPad for educational use during the school year. Fifth grade students will be provided a school iPad. More information will be provided at a future date.

Classic Designs -- Uniform Provider
- Crew socks, tights and leggings can be purchased from an outside provider as long as they are white (tights and leggings can be white or navy).
- Undershirts or turtle necks can be worn underneath required shirts (white only)
- Shoes are to be ALL white leather top tennis/athletic shoes (no logos or color designs permitted)
- Hair accessories should be school colors (no distracting designs or attachments)

529 Plans
As you may be aware, changes to 529 plans have resulted from the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Acts passed December 2017. 529 plans are tax advantaged savings plans designed to encourage saving for future college costs. The changes made in 2017 have expanded to provisions under 529 plans to include elementary and secondary school expenses. This means that parents of elementary and secondary school students can now use a 529 savings account plan for Catholic school expenses without being taxed. According to the revisions in the acts, parents will be able to withdraw up to $10,000 per year tax-free for elementary and high school expenses, including tuition and books.
Please see the attached factsheet and flyer provided by the USCCB and NCEA. If you have not already done so, we would encourage you to consider a 529 savings plan for your children.
