Term 3 Week 8
Kia ora, Talofa, Malo, Bula, Hola, Ciao, Kamusta po, Guten tag
The last day of term has arrived. With a smile, I can say that in term 4 our tamariki (children) have to wear a bucket/floppy hat when they are outside, we have had moments of teasing sunshine in the last few weeks! This is for their safety in the sun. No hat means they will be asked to sit in a shaded spot and will miss the freedom of moving around the school in their breaks. No caps please - look after those precious ears and neck. The sun shades will be going up over the sand pit and 2 other outside areas. Work on our school septic tank will begin this weekend and hopefully will be completed during the 2 week break. I am very thankful to the Ministry of Education for ensuring this essential work is being done.
We have a number of touch, cricket, hockey and junior netball teams competing in term 4. Thank you to the parents who have put their hand up to support sport at our school.
We welcome Kristina Watson to our staff next term. Kristina will be working alongside Kim and Tania in Tuhono every Monday. She has been relieving during the year and I know the children appreciate her warm and supportive nature. She smiles a lot.
It has been a very wet and busy couple of weeks and our children need time to run around outside, recuperate and just be. Have a super break and we look forward to having an amazing term 4.

Famous Frankley School Carnival - Sunday 10 November
White Elephant - Carnival time is getting closer. The holidays is a fabulous time to gather together your bits and pieces that other people will treasure. The hall will have an allocated space for you to drop off items for the White Elephant in week 2 of next term. SFRC are working hard to make this another successful event for our community. We will be asking for volunteers to support stalls and activities on the day.
The grocery raffle was so well supported. Thanks to Erin Smith, her family and her Year 6 helpers for collecting, counting and sorting an extensive range of grocery items. To our families for donating and selling tickets - great mahi (work). The hub competition was fierce for Milo Munchie.
SFRC presents Cinderella
A number of our students are performing in Cinderella. Frankley school benefits from the sale of tickets for this particular performance.
