IB
At Champlin Park, your student has a unique opportunity to enroll in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program starting their 11th grade year. IB courses are honors college preparatory classes that are possible to take individually. Additionally, if your student is interested in an immersive experience, we offer the IB Diploma Program, the most comprehensive course of study at Champlin Park. Alternatively if your student is interested in a future career in culinary, cybersecurity, education, automotive, aviation, design and fabrication, architecture/construction, graphic design, journalism, or a medical field, we also offer the IB Career Program. Even though IB doesn't officially start until junior year, 9th and 10th grade students can start taking classes that will help prepare them for advanced courses later in high school. We will be sharing more details about both the IB Diploma and Career programs at the parent/guardian information nights. Here is also a flyer we share with current 9th grade families about what classes they can register for as they start at CPHS to prepare for the rigors of the IB Program in 11th grade.
If you'd like to learn more about the IB Programs we have 2 family information nights coming up:
Tuesday Dec 12th 6:30pm in the South Lecture Hall at CPHS or you can join online at this link: https://meet.google.com/djv-ysqg-btw
Thursday Jan 4th 6:30pm in the South Lecture Hall at CPHS or you can join online at this link: https://meet.google.com/djv-ysqg-btw
