McDill Elementary Newsletter
DECEMBER 21, 2023
Hello Timberwolf families,
Happy Holidays! As some of you may know, my wife and I are expecting our third child soon (another boy). Our due date is December 30th. I am planning on taking about 4 weeks of leave after our son is born. We have been working on coverage for the time that I will be out of the building. Crystal Armstrong, our school counselor, will be subbing for me. She is working on her degree in administration and is excited for this opportunity. We will also have a sub for her counseling position so that we have another staff member available to check in with students and support any needs that may arise. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding during this time. I hope everyone has a great winter break and thank you for all you do to support our school community!

DON'T MISS OUT ON THESE AWESOME OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR CHILD AND/OR FAMILY!
We can ALWAYS use more individuals to help substitute as a Regular Education EA.
This position would entail only a few hours a day helping with lunch & recess duties in the grade level needed. If you apply, please let us know when you are available to start helping out!
Thanks for considering this way to help in your child's school ... and GET PAID to do it! 🙂
The SPAPSD is excited to share a valuable resource with our families that can make a significant difference in the lives of families with children who have special health care needs. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has launched Wisconsin Wayfinder: Children’s Resource Network, a platform aimed at connecting families to essential support and resources.
What is Wisconsin Wayfinder?
Wisconsin Wayfinder is a user-friendly website and a toll-free helpline (877-WiscWay) designed to help families of children with delays, disabilities, special health care needs, or mental health conditions easily access the services and support they need. It's an initiative that strives to provide families with personalized assistance, making it easier for you to navigate through essential services beyond what schools provide.
