Last May, Lovington Schools went out to Bid for Security Guard services. School Security Guard Services will be provided throughout the district but the security guards will be stationed at three (3) locations: Lovington High School, Taylor Middle School, and a city block with three schools and New Hope High School. Our guards first day on the job was the first day of school and below are a few of their essential functions.
Essential Job Functions for School Security Guards:

Establish and maintain good rapport with students, staff and community members.
Help to create and maintain a working relationship with the local police and fire and rescue departments.
Assist in development and implementation of action plans to provide safe environment and immediate response to imminent threats of violence, criminal incidents, emergency medical incidents, auto accidents and others.
