Dear Parents:
We had a great start to our week! While there were a few hiccups, overall our technology and face-to-face instruction went well. I was very proud of how our students who were in-building responded to a new environment. They were impressive!
Our teachers continue to refine their skills in both synchronous and asynchronous learning. As kids are at home and doing face-to-face (synchronous) learning with our staff, we realize that this much screentime is not healthy for our kids. We are working with our staff to do some face to face instruction, but also give some breaks with some old fashioned pen to paper activities and "get up and move" activities. We want to make sure we don't overload our students with screentime.
Our Back To School Night will be fully digital this year. We will be sending out a document, September 1st in the late afternoon, which will give parents the chance to get to know their child's teachers in a virtual setting.
We realize that COMMUNICATION is more important than ever. Many questions you have may be answered in one of three places:
- Emails or Newsletters that we have sent you (newsletters are posted on our website under Friday Forecast)
- The CUSD303 Reopening Schools Plan (en español)
- The D303 Reopen School Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
NOTE: These links are updated frequently as new information becomes available. Please look for information in these places before sending a text or email.
We appreciate all you have done to support learning here at Wredling. Enjoy your weekend!
