What's Happening in the AIG Classroom?
Elementary Reading & Math: 4th and 5th grade students are pulled for at least 45 minutes per week and work on extension and enrichment assignments that support the reading and math content in the regular classroom.
Middle ELA & Math: 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are pulled during STING time for enrichment activities to build critical thinking, verbal, and logical/mathematical skills to support their advanced learning. Students identified as AIG in math are placed in advanced math courses (6+, 7+, Math I, Math II). Students identified as AIG in ELA will be served through pull-out and push-in lessons on specific EL modules to extend and enrich the curriculum.
