The halfway mark for Q1 was on September 1st, please check on your student's course progress. Please make sure you are checking grades in your parent portal account or your student's portal account. The quarter will end on October 4th with final exams on 10/3 and 10/4.

PRHS National Beta School of Merit
Peachtree Ridge is one of only 2,643 schools across the country to be named a National Beta School of Distinction. This honor is for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership, and service to others. National Beta School of Distinction award is designed to award those schools that show an increase of 10% or more in membership from the previous school year. PRHS Driver's Ed FAQs
What are the class meeting dates?
Session 1: 10/16, 10/18, 10/23, 10/25, 10/30, 11/1
When and where does class meet?
Mondays & Wednesdays, 3-8pm in Room B206
Do I need to attend every class to earn credit for Driver's Ed?
YES! You must be present at ALL classes to earn credit.
What should I bring to class?
You will need to bring a pencil, water bottle, and dinner or a snack.
What is the deadline to register?
The deadline to register for Session 1 is 10/15 at 11:59 pm.
When do I get to practice driving?
Students will be scheduled for 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction after completing the class and passing the final exam. Times are scheduled based on student and instructor availability.
What does the class cost?
The cost is $345 for the in-person class and 6 hours driving time. The cost is $280 for just the 6 hours driving time.

Taste of the Ridge
Join us for the 6th Annual TASTE of the RIDGE Community Event supporting the PRHS Bands!
School Council Parent Nominations
Local School Councils bring parents and school employees together to share information, discuss concerns, and review progress on improving student academic performance. Peachtree Ridge is now accepting nominations for a vacant parent seat on the School Council. We welcome parent nominees who would like to serve alongside our current team members. The School Council meets five times a year from 7:30-8:30 AM on scheduled dates throughout the school year, and council terms are for two years.
If you are the parent of a Peachtree Ridge High School student and would like to be placed on the ballot, please send your name, contact information, and a short bio about yourself (number of children at Peachtree Ridge, school activities, etc.) along with a picture of yourself via e-mail to tara.labarbera@gcpsk12.org by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
School Safety Advisory Council
The GCPS Discipline Taskforce is officially transitioning to the School Safety Advisory Council (SSAC). The SSAC will meet quarterly to provide feedback, guidance, and recommendations on the status of school safety. Below are the meeting dates, time and location. The district is looking for input from students, parents, and staff members. The SSAC meetings will take place at the Instructional Support Center (ISC) Training Room 3.101 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M on the following days: • Tuesday, October 3, 2023 • Tuesday, February 6, 2024 • Tuesday, May 7, 2024

PRHS Student Council would like to invite you to celebrate Peachtree Ridge’s Homecoming
2023! Homecoming Celebrations include spirit week, the Homecoming Game against Meadow
Creek, and the Homecoming Dance. Please see below for information about each event.
Homecoming Spirit Week: September 18th- 22nd
All students and Staff are encouraged to dress up and show their spirit each day! Themes are as
follows.
Monday
Twin day: twin with someone
Tuesday
Teachers and students swap day: Teachers dress as students and students dress as teachers
Wednesday
Barbie vs. Oppenheimer day: Wear a pink outfit in honor of the Barbie movie or a black outfit in honor of the Oppenheimer movie
Thursday
BBQ dad vs. Soccer mom: dress up in an outfit that resembles a dad grilling or a mom watching their kid’s soccer game
Friday
Grade-level colors: Each grade wears a different color
9th grade- white
10th grade- black
11th grade- red
12th grade- blue
Homecoming Game: Friday, September 22nd 7:30 pm
Peachtree Ridge Lions will face off against the Meadowcreek Mustangs starting at 7:30 pm.
During Halftime, join us for the presentation of the PRHS Homecoming Court and the crowing
of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen.
Homecoming Dance: Saturday, September 23rd
8-11 pm @ Peachtree Ridge High School
Tickets are available on GoFan.co for $30 now until September 17th. Tickets increase to $35
after September 17th until the night of the dance. 1500 tickets are available for sale, once
we reach 1500 we cannot sell any more tickets. Attire is semi-formal.
- Need student ID to purchase ticket
- Students will need PHOTO ID to check in
- Student may purchase 1 guest ticket
- Guests must be 14-20 years of age
Parents, if ticket is purchased on a parent account, please transfer the ticket to your child so it can be redeemed at the door. If the ticket has already been redeemed, we cannot allow admittance.

GOFAN for Event Tickets
Sports tickets can only be purchased via GoFan with a credit or debit card to home sporting events. To purchase a home ticket for games please click on PRHS GOFAN. Many other schools are also going touch-less for tickets as well. If they are using GoFan, those tickets will also be available under Peachtree Ridge.

Varsity Girls and Boys Soccer earns USC Academic Team Award
United Soccer Coaches announced yesterday that the Peachtree Ridge varsity girls and boys soccer teams both earned the USC high school team academic award for the 2022-23 school year for exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year. Only 38 high schools in the entire country had double winners, and Peachtree Ridge was one of them. This is the boys program's seventh straight year earning this national academic award.

Senior Portraits
Make-up sessions for yearbook pictures with Magic Moments will be Monday, September 11 and 18 in the HUB (E-110) after school until 4:45pm. They must sign up using the link below OR go TO magicmomentphotography.com and click "book now". If the list if full for PRHS, students can attend any GCPS school listed or be a walk in (they will have to wait in line).

Word of the Month: ParentVUE/StudentVUE
Definition: ParentVUE is the application (web or mobile app) that works with the GCPS student information system allowing parents to access near real-time information on assignments and scores, attendance, messages, and demographic information. ParentVUE offers parents a single sign-on to view all of their children’s information regardless of school within GCPS. StudentVUE (web or mobile app) gives students access to their information.
Apple users: Please make sure your APPs are up-to-date. The version of ParentVUE and StudentVUE apps will need to be 11.2 or higher to work properly.
