COC Spring '24 Registration: Tuesday, October 31st is COC Spring 2024 Registration. Please remember that 9th/10th grade students are registered by AOC/COC while 11th/12th grade students register themselves at 11am. Fees should be paid after 12pm on Tuesday. To Pay fees students have to login to their My Canyons account, click billing, and then, "pay fees." (More information is available in an email sent via parentsquare on 10/27)

College Application Labs: Seniors wanting a place to work on college applications or have them checked for submission can join Ms. Grijalva every Tuesday and Wednesday in the AOC Computer Lab (3-4pm)

Nov 1st. College App Materials: All materials needed to be sent by the counseling office (transcript, school profile, counselor letter of recommendation) will be sent by 10/31 to meet the Nov 1st due date for those applying early action/decision. Please do not call/email the office to confirm. Students can check submission status via Naviance on Tuesday.

Hi!

This is Paru and Bella, and we’re running an SEL project called Drawing Board! Today, we invite you to submit a creative project for our collage, helping to contribute to a culture of open self-expression at AOC. These projects can be an art piece, a photograph, a piece of writing, a dance video, or anything else that you feel best represents YOU!

We will put all who participate into a randomized raffle, and 3 student contributors will be picked to receive a $10 Amazon gift card!

To submit your work, please give in-person artwork to Ms. Danica in the Wellness Room or to Paru Nair or Bella De Vita and fill out the form below so we know how to display your work. If your artwork is digital, there is an option to submit artwork online as well via the form! Submissions are due November 6th.

Congratulations to our Project Linus students, Mrs. Garvar and our volunteers for a successful event! They collected nearly 750 blankets! Incredible work!

Please help us welcome Ms. Brazil, a social worker and therapist who will be with us at AOC three days a week starting in December. Please help us welcome Ms. Brazil to AOC!

AOC and WSHUHSD Thanksgiving Holiday is from 11/20-11/24.

COC Thanksgiving Holiday is only from 11/23-11/26.

Located on the campus of College of the Canyons, AOC is proud to be the middle college high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District serving students 9th-12th grades in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students have the opportunity to earn between 24 and 44 transferable college units, prior to receiving their high school diplomas. Upon graduation, the majority of Academy students pursue their post high school education by continuing at COC and completing their college transfer requirements in only one year after high school. Other AOC students go directly into a four-year university, bringing their community college units with them and placing themselves well into their freshman and sophomore years at the college level. While attending AOC as a high school student, community college tuition is waived for established California residents.
