Greetings Dolphin Families,
It's hard to believe that we are already in November! We would like to give a huge Thank you to PTA for hosting our annual Trunk or Treat. The costumes were great and the students had so much fun! This month PTA is hosting a Food Drive. Please help our school fill the bins to earn campus rewards!! As a reminder, this Newsletter is sent out monthly on the 1st. Please continue to check your child's backpack for flyers and campus information.
As we enter this Thanksgiving season, may your home be filled with laughter, love, and gratitude and endless reasons to be thankful.

- Please be mindful of your speed and watch for students in the school zones

A single location for all cafeteria needs. School Café will be used for:

BUS INFORMATION
All students riding the school bus need to follow all safety rules and procedures outlined by the school bus driver.
- Students must remain seated while the bus is in motion
- Food consumption on the bus is not allowed.
- Any behavior incidents will be reported to campus administration and may result in supsension from the bus.
NURSE INFORMATION
DRESS CODE REMINDERS
Please keep the NISD Dress Code in mind. The weather is very warm but please make sure that shorts, skirts and dresses are of the appropriate length. Also, no mid drift shirts or cropped tops that show skin are allowed. Frays or holes above the knee are not permitted. Please review the NISD Dress and Grooming Guidelines.

ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS
Attendance Matters at Galm Elementary, please be sure that your student is at school on time every day. As stated in the NISD Elementary Student Handbook, school begins at 7:45am. All students arriving after that time will be counted tardy and those arriving after 9am will be marked absent for the entire school day. If your child is ill or has an appointment, you must bring in a doctor's note or parent note to excuse the absence. We will monitor attendance weekly and meet with parents regularly if we have a concern. Please refer to the flyer below to review the Texas Compulsory Attendance Law. Please note that PreK and Kindergarten follow the same Attendance Laws and students ages 6-19. You are welcome to contact our Attendance Secretary, Ms. Flores or Associate Principal, Ms. Chawayipira with any questions or concerns regarding attendance.
