This Week at Windsor...

Windsor Families,

The second full week of school is in the books! It was a great week at Windsor. Today our students met their Den leaders and Den peers as an instroduction. Next month, students will participate in an activity with their Den.

Please read, extremely important information regarding arrival/dismissal-

-There are no animals allowed on school property during arrival or dismissal, this includes both AM and PM Kindergarten.

- In the mornings, we are seeing a large number of cars parking on Windsor Drive. You need to park beyond Windsor's property which includes the green space behind the school and walk to the student entrances. Staff will ask you to move your car if you are parked along school property. We need to keep the car line moving in the morning to ensure all students arrive on time and safely.

- When the weather is bad or the temperature changes, we will see an increase in the amount families driving to drop off their children.

   This survey will be available from September 11 - October 2. The link to the survey will be emailed to you, and it will be available on the Superintendent Search Page on our website (www.sd25.org/SuptSearch).

Are you looking for a fun project that your kids can use outdoors this long weekend? I’ve got just the thing for you to try! One of my favorite blogs, babbledabbledo.com just shared her template and directions to make a flying toy she calls a Zippy Zoomer. It’s made with simple things around the house, and I’ve been told it flies better than a paper airplane. If you make one with your family, I’d love to hear how it goes! ABC/25 invites parents and community members to an adult only info session at Arlington Ale House (3rd floor of the Metropolis) on Wednesday, September 20th 7-8PM. A legal holiday in all states and Canada observed the first Monday in September. Labor Day is an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers.

Please also make every effort for your child to arrive at school on time. Missing the beginning of the school day often has a negative impact on students for the rest of the day. Please contact the office if your child will be tardy or needs to leave early!

Student Health: If your child has tested positive for COVID-19, you can notify the school nurse for guidance regarding how many days it is recommended to stay home (5 days with day 0 as onset of symptoms or test day if asymptomatic) per Illinois Department of Public Health.
