We would like to remind you about the importance of punctuality when dropping off your children at school. The school doors open at 8:30 am every morning and are closed promptly at 8:49 am marking the official start of the school day. Any child arriving after this time will be considered tardy. We kindly request your cooperation in helping your child arrive on time for morning announcements at 8:50 am. THANK YOU for your commitment to set your student up for success.

Next week, the Hampden Fire Department will join us on Monday, October 16th and Tuesday, October 17th to teach each homeroom about fire safety! On Thursday, we'll work with Cyr Bus and practice bus evacuations. We greatly appreciate our partners to teach these important safety tips and reminders.

Clubs are a wonderful way to connect students to their passions. We appreciate your partnership with prompt drop offs and/or pickups. Please be reminded that we count on you to ensure your student is supervised until the doors open at 7:30 AM for Chess and 7:45 AM for Weatherbee Singers. This is especially critical during the colder months.

We are launching into THE GREAT BODY SHOP health curriculum. This is a comprehensive health education curriculum that is sequential, developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive and medically accurate. THE GREAT BODY SHOP is aligned to the National Health Education Standards, the National Sexuality Education Standards, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Characteristics of Effective Health Education Curricular and the core concepts recommended by CDC’s HECAT.

Please keep your children home if they are experiencing a fever or vomiting. They can return to school once they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications such as acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. Students with minor symptoms of illness (runny nose, congestion, headache, etc.) may attend school if they are feeling well enough to do so. Please reach out to me if you have any questions regarding illnesses or appropriateness of attending school
