Message from the Principal
Happy Friday Findley Families,
Thank you to everyone for your generosity! We are only one week into our Pennies for Patients fundraiser and we more than halfway to our goal already. I am continuously inspired by the giving nature of our school community.
We are also grateful for the additional donations of hand sanitizer and bleach-free wipes we continue to receive daily. Keep them coming! We appreciate our families helping us cut down on the spread of germs. I am sure you have been receiving the daily updates from the district regarding the COVID-19. As you are aware there have been a variety of measures put into place to help limit the spread of all viruses. These daily updates also include links to resources and important community and health information I encourage you read. Just a reminder, washing your hands frequently and not touching your face are two of the best preventative measures to take during this cold & flu season.
Thank you to all those who came out to our fifth grade music performance last night. Our music teachers and fifth grade students put on quite a show! We are so proud of all the hard work they put in to entertain us.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Sherry Marsh, Ed.D.

Findley Field Improvement News!!!
We have good news to share from the PTO! After years of trying to move forward on improving our field, we have finally gotten a reasonable quote to begin Phase I of a multi-tier project.
Sometime in the next month or two, a vendor will be onsite to start work on installing sprinklers on the field. The track will be closed during this time. The project will take no more than 3 weeks.
Once this phase is completed, the PTO Board will evaluate future plans for the second phase of the project, which is drainage.
BOOK FAIR WAS A SUCCESS!
This year’s book fair was a great success due to everyone who showed their support. We appreciate all the volunteers and the entire Findley community who supported our efforts to promote and encourage reading. Your purchases have contributed to expanding libraries in the classrooms, school, home, and community.
A few numbers to share:
58 books donated to McKinley Elementary
76 eWallets set up
28 prizes awarded to raffle winners
94 books donated to the Findley library
Thank you for helping to get books to so many students! If you have any feedback to share please contact Annie Bulnes (abulnes3@gmail.com) or Marissa McAbee (marissamcabee@yahoo.com)
