Healthcare Sciences Students Collaborate with MCCC Public Health Program
In January 2021, Healthcare Sciences students participated in a two-part training in collaboration with the Public Health program at Montgomery County Community College called S.T.O.P. (Students Tackling Opioid Prevention). Students were taught about the dangerous effects of opioids, learned how to respond to an overdose, and then provided with Bystander Training, where they received certification to administer the lifesaving medication Naloxone (Narcan).
