A Note From the Principal

Hello River Hawk Families,

We had a fantastic turn out for Back to School Night on Thursday and we want to thank all of you who braved that heat to come learn about your student's classes and teachers. We hope it was as wonderful and evening for you as it was for us.


Friday morning brought our first, successful visit from the K-9 Firearm Detection Unit. Our students did a great job respecting that "Una," the adorable black lab, was working even though many were tempted to pet her because she was just so sweet sitting there. Luckily, we were able to tell students our therapy dogs were on-campus this morning, too. There was lots of doggie love for those that wanted it!


We wish all of our families a happy and safe Labor Day Weekend. Remember there is no school on Monday and we hope our students and staff enjoy the extra day off!

Interested in learning more about adolescent drug use in our valley? The signs and what to look for, with a focus on prescription pill abuse, will be discussed by members of the Sheriff's Department's J-Team and Mental Evaluation Team at this event on September 23rd.
