Branagan's Bulletin
Week of November 20 - 24, 2023
Welcome Back!
Hello MHS!!
Welcome Back! I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for a great week ahead! It is hard to believe that we are ready to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday and the start of the holiday season. This year is certainly flying by! We have an exciting few days at MHS with many of the Thanksgiving Week celebrations at our school. I love this time of year!
As I open "Branagan's Bulletin" this week, there are two important events that took place at our school this past week. First, our school participated in the beginning of our accreditation process with our NEASC Collaborative Conference, which was held on Monday and Tuesday of last week. The team of educators that spent two days at our school really enjoyed their time exploring our school and being a part of our daily life during their visit. The visiting team observed classes, toured our school, hosted focus groups with a variety of stakeholders, led interviews and reviewed a large amount of evidence that our school has collected over the last year to help meet the standards of accreditation. Needless to say, the visiting team was very impressed with our school and the culture that exists within our home, which was so great to hear. The team recognized the strong connections that our school has with each other. It was a very proud moment for our school. We know we have a great deal of work to do on so many areas before our next visit in the fall of 2025. However, it was a great two days knowing that we have so much to be grateful for within our school. Thank you to everyone involved.
The second item of note is how awesome it was to see our stage come to life this weekend with the production of "Mean Girls". The show was incredible and to see so many of our students involved in the various aspects of the production was so great to see. Thank you to our school community for coming together to support the Arts of Middleborough High School. To all involved...thank you for lighting up the stage with our talent, excitement and commitment to our school. I am beyond proud of you all.
Lastly, most importantly, I want to take this opportunity to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. I will be giving thanks to each of you this holiday as I am beyond grateful to serve you as your principal. Our school community is strong and connected, which is so important for a school to grow. I hope each of you have a wonderful holiday and break!
I can't wait to see you around campus this week. I know you will make a great week!
With Sachem Pride
