Our 4th graders are doing a community service project called, "Coats for the Cold." This is sponsored by the Oakland County Sheriff's Department. The 4th graders are so excited to see how many coats they can collect for our community. Thank you!

Our lost and found has gotten pretty full! There are lots of jackets looking for their owners. Please take a look at the video below, and see if you recognize anything as yours! If you do recognize it, please have your student bring it home with them, or email grace.caton@avondaleschools.org , and I can be sure to get it to your student.

GATE is currently looking for volunteers to assist during the lunchtime period of 11:00a.m-1:30p.m. We are looking for individuals to help outside as well as in the cafeteria. You are not required to commit to every day, you can come and volunteer any availability you may have. We are so grateful for any and all time you can give. If you are interested in being a lunchtime volunteer, you will need to have a district volunteer form filled out an approved. You can find the volunteer form here. We will need a copy of your ID in order to submit.

Registration for Art and Yearbook club is full and registration is closed. If you have registered but not paid yet please do so immediately in order to maintain your spot.

MATH OLYMPIAD PARENTS: please note that class is now extended until 4:40. We will be giving the students about 10-15 minutes to play outside between dismissal and class starting at 3:20. Please remind your student to bring coat-hat-gloves (and anything else they need from their lockers for dismissal) to Math Olympiad. Also if you have any Halloween candy you’d like to “ghost” we would love to have it for rewards. Thank you!

Please remember- if your student is signed up for an after school club, they need to be picked up promptly at the clubs dismissal. Please do not enter the building to pickup your student, the club staff will bring them out at dismissal time.
