Buffalo Express
October 19
We are moving at lightning speed to prepare for October 26 and the return of many students to Berryton. This afternoon I will be emailing all of our fully remote students that will be moving to an in-person model next week and identifying which classroom teachers these students will have.
Ms. Heidi Hayen will be our new instructor for fifth grade and we are excited to have her joining us.
This coming week I'd love to see pictures of all of the amazing learning that has been occurring from home for both fully remote students and our hybrid students. Those pictures can be sent to bervertk@usd450.net and we will include them in our celebrations video.
Just a reminder that Track A hybrid students will be at Berryton on Tuesday and Track B hybrid students will be at Berryton on Thursday.
With Buffalo Pride,
Mrs. Bervert
Conference Reminders
If your conference is not showing up on Microsoft Teams have your child log out of his/her Team Account and then log back in. This occurred for some of our fifth grade students and the conference appeared on the TEAMS calendar when students logged back in.
Halloween at Berryton This Year
Our students will celebrate Halloween and fall festivities on Friday, October 30th. Listed below are some details to help you better understand what this will look like at Berryton:
- All students are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costume.
- Please send a change of clothes as many costumes are itchy, hot, or uncomfortable.
- Students will still be expected to wear face masks as normal.
- All BES students will trick or treat outdoors at a designated time . Staff will wear gloves when handing out candy.
- All treats will need to be prepackaged and purchased from a store.
- Teachers will communicate if they need snacks and how parents can sign up to send in treats.
- We will not have a parade this year.
- Please refrain from sending students with bloody/scary costumes as we have three year olds in our building. Additionally, students should not have props that resemble weapons.
Reminder for Fully Remote Students Returning October 26
Additionally, if your child did NOT pick up a school-issued device such as an iPad or MacBook please email me (bervertk@usd450.net) so that we can have a device ready for their usage on October 26.
