There will be two competitions running simultaneously, one VEX IQ Elementary, and one VEX IQ Middle school Signature events!

There will be six elevated match fields, three fields running simultaneously. We will alternate between Elementary and Middle school matches.

Students will stand along the field side wall facing the audience. Six practice fields and six skills fields will also be available.

• Tuesday, January 16th Registration/Inspection 3.00 - 5.00 PM
• Skills will run from 3:00pm - 5:00 pm and then from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
• Coaches Meeting 4:30 pm
• Team procession 5:10 pm.
• The opening ceremony and Event meeting will take place at 5:40 pm.
• Competition starts at 6:00 pm.
• Each team will get three matches Tuesday evening. Should finish around 7:30pm

• Doors open at 8.45 AM
• Skills 9.00 AM - 2.00 PM.
• Matches resume at 9:00 AM.
• Lunch will be from noon until 12:30 pm.
• Final matches should start at 2:15 pm.
• Awards 2:45 pm.
• Waterpark 3:00 pm!!

You can register for the tournament and check into your room all in the conference center registration area, you do not need to go to the main entrance to check into you room* ( see map for details). Hotel check in will be available from 3-6pm on Tuesday outside the Sales Office. (see map for details)

Waterpark Towels - Please note the following!!

Bring your own towels!!

Bring your own or rent them! As long as the towels are returned daily, there's no

charge for our overnight guests. If towels are not returned, there is a daily

charge of $20 per towel.

1. Please make sure that you check in at the competition registration desk before entering the main event area. See map for details.
2. There is no outdoor food allowed in the event. This is the rule of the Kalahari Convention Center. There will be concessions available in the event area and there are also restaurants available in the main reception area. See map or website.
   
3. Team pizza can be ordered at the concessions stand. Please order as early in the day as you can.
4. Skills will run for a little bit prior to the team parade and then after the qualifying matches start, all through the day, until the finals matches take place which should be around 2:15 pm.
5. Enjoy the team parade. Each school will walk onto the stage and have their picture taken as a group. Coaches can join if they want to! I would encourage the teams to be as colorful as possible for this part of the proceedings!
6. Each team will have a pit table.
7. Make sure each team member brings safety glasses with them.
8. All engineering notebooks must be turned in during team registration..
