For students who are deaf or hard of hearing or for any students who use lip-reading as a way to access communication, consider using a mask with a window or a clear face shield with teachers, staff, and peers. Also, consider the effects of wearing face coverings to the auditory signal. The pictures below show examples of face coverings that provide access to both visual and auditory signals. In this session, we will explore applying best practices in a virtual format for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. We will discuss how to plan for online learning for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. We will identify key practices and accommodations to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing gain access to education in the virtual world.

Seeking educators across the state of Texas to be a part of a statewide professional learning community and learn more about Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) with students with Autism. It's the Autism Circuit 2.0 (est. 2019)!

This program has been revised and focuses on eight high-yield practices. Open to all! The audience for the Autism Circuit 2.0 includes: Special Ed Teachers, General Ed Teachers, Campus and District Specialists, Paraeducators, SLPs, Related Service Providers, LSSPs, and other interested local education agency staff. Participants will practice implementing EBPs with their students with autism and receive feedback and coaching from peers and TSLAT network members.
