Student Achievement

This week in Ms. Katie’s class we are learning about building houses. We will learn how houses are made and explore pipes for water and electrical systems to give us light. We enjoyed making houses with our families out of all different materials in all different heights and lengths.​

Lunch bunch kiddos from Ms. Straup's 1st grade class! These students used their job tickets to buy lunch with the teacher! Keep up the great work!

The students in Mrs. Wilhelm's groups are practicing word order and sight words with some season worthy sentences. They are reading and writing sentences about Thanksgiving and Fall!

The students in Mrs. Corea and Mrs. Trinkle's class have been working hard during their Writer's Workshop. They are finishing up their unit on personal narratives. Students were proud and excited to share their writing with their classmates.

Ms. Lewis and Ms. Sawyers 3rd grade class worked on keeping their turkeys safe this Thanksgiving with a fun STEM project!

Ms. Efstatos' 3rd grade class worked on a STEM activity to present to the parents during American Education Week! The students had to save Fred the Worm!

This week, Ms. McGinnis and Ms. Basdekis' 3rd grade class personalized their writer's notebooks with photos, stickers and pictures of special things to them. Then the presented what they included in their notebooks to the class. Their notebooks will be a special place for the class to brainstorm ideas for all of the amazing writing they will do this school year!

Climate and Culture

Slaybaugh School Complex participated in American Education Week by allowing parents to come and join in on a lesson in the classroom! A BIG THANK YOU to all who stopped in!
