Attention all 6th Grade Students!

If you haven't already, please subscribe to the ListServ for your new middle school. It's very important that you're receiving communications from your student's new school! For example, if your child is going to Wood Middle School, you'll want to sign up for "IWMS - Homes" and "IWMS - 2027" as well as "WLWV - Homes" to get all of the information being sent out. All families must complete Online Registration (OLR)

We ask that all families complete Online Registration for the coming school year. This is available now on our new software, Synergy. This new portal for parents, called ParentVue, replaces Family Link. For returning students, this is a pretty simple process to confirm certain student information.


To complete Online Registration, parent-guardians are asked to go to https://synergy.wlwv.k12.or.us/PXP2_OEN_Login.aspx. Your username is the same you used for Family Link. You will need to set a new password. To do so, click the "Forgot or Need to Set Password" button on the login page.


If you are new to the district and need to register your student for the school year, please select "New to District - Click Here" on the login page and complete the registration.

Free and Reduced Meal Program

The Free and Reduced Meal Program is currently accepting applications for the 2020-21 school year. The guidelines have expanded so we are encouraging all families who think they might qualify to apply/reapply. If at anytime during the school year your circumstances change, you can apply to receive this benefit.


To apply online please follow this link: https://www.wlwv.k12.or.us/Page/10636 . A paper application can be picked up at the School Office.


You must apply each year to receive this benefit and must have your application in by no later than October 13th.

Class & Cohort Placements

In this unusual year your child will be placed with a classroom teacher and then in either the “A” or “B” group for this specific class. Cohort and class placement are tightly linked to several factors including sibling placement at the primary and middle school, survey requests for cohort schedules submitted by families, balanced class and cohort groups, and even child care needs. We have worked closely with families to meet as many needs as we are able and feel confident that these classes and cohorts will ensure that each child has great learning experiences and wonderful connections during the school year. We will be mailing these home to families this Friday. Due to the effort in aligning parent schedule requests and with siblings throughout our school and middle schools, I do not anticipate making any adjustments. We are fortunate to have exceptional teachers throughout our school and I know each educator will be working incredibly hard to ensure our students continue to grow during this unusual year. Be watching for them in your mailbox!

Suggested School Supplies

School supply lists will be posted on the school website by Friday. You can find them on the right hand side of our school website under the yellow “Trending/Hot Topics” tab. If you have any difficulties with gathering supplies or need assistance please fill out the request form online and we will be in touch with you.

Chromebook Information & Pick Up

If you still have a Chromebook from the spring, you can keep that Chromebook for the coming year. This includes students who are moving on to middle school. If you do have a device from the spring, please log on to the device to make sure everything is working properly before September 8th.


If you have trouble that you believe is related to your child’s account, please feel free to get help at https://tekmee.wlwv.k12.or.us/helpathome/.


If you believe the issue is the device itself, please sign up for a time slot to return your Chromebook. We will provide your student with a replacement Chromebook.


If you need a Chromebook for your child, we have one for you! Chromebook distribution will take place at Boones Ferry Primary on Monday, August 31 through Friday, September 4th. You can sign up for an appointment here.

Still need to pick up your 2019-20 yearbook?

We have them in our office! Please call 503-673-7300 when you are in front of the school, 9a-2p, and we'll come out to meet you. We also still have a few yearbooks available for sale for $25 (check made out to "BFPS PSS" or cash, exact change please).
