All of our students were busy this morning preparing 683 snack bags for Feeding Westchester. This was a great opportunity for our students to practice giving back to the community. Students included handmade cards in each snack bag. Thank you to Dr. Schoener, Ms. Kurlander, and Ms. Baltich for organizing this project.

We had a tremendous turnout for Family Math Night. We welcomed over 200 families to play math games. Check out our mathematicians in action!

We are having a ball in Physical Education classes. Students are learning the correct way to roll a ball. Students have been engaged in a wide variety of rolling games. What is your child’s favorite HES rolling game? Is it Make It Take It, Knock Out, Ultimate Pin Guard, Bowling Dodge, Dr. Dodge, or Battleship? Up next, the students will be working on the underhand toss during the month of December.

Each year our Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department offers after school clubs at Hawthorne. If your child will be attending a club, please do not forget to update School Dismissal Manager with those dates. You can register for clubs at https://www.mtpleasantny.com/recreation-parks-department.
