Kentucky's Black History and Culture
"This collection of resources focuses on Black history and culture. The Antebellum Period sub-collection tells the story of Black enslaved people and and the contributions they made to Kentucky while fighting for their freedom. The MLK Jr. March on Frankfort sub-collection tells the story of how Kentuckians organized a march in 1964 to press for a civil rights bill in the state. Martin Luther King Jr. was the featured speaker at the event."
