Hello Falcons,

What an amazing first week of school! Our Falcons had a great week, and I truly enjoyed meeting our students and seeing how smart, talented, and respectful they are.

This weekend, parents, you should have received a team newsletter outlining learning objectives and events for the week. This will come through Canvas or by email, and our teams will do this every Friday in order to keep you up to date. World Language will send newsletters out every two weeks since they are on an A/B schedule. Please make sure your child's team has your email address.

We hope that your student(s) have enjoyed this week as much as we have, and please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Standard Code of Dress:
1. Shirts must have a collar and sleeves. V-neck collared shirts are prohibited. Shirts must be polo/golf-type shirts in long or short sleeves. Shirts may be any solid color without a logo. All manufacturer’s brand/slogan or other non-school logos on tops are prohibited. Stripes and trim colors on any tops are also prohibited.
2. Sweaters and sweatshirts must be of solid color without a logo, stripes, or patterns.
3. School-spirit shirts and hoodies with school logos are allowed. Hoods may not be worn over the head at any time.
4. Sweaters, cardigans, crew neck and sweatshirts of any solid color (without logos) are allowed. A shirt must be visible underneath the sweatshirt and sweater. No cropped sweaters.

5. Solid color (black, brown, khaki, gray, or navy) pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, capris, or jumpers are allowed and must be worn fitting at the waist, not below the natural waist.

6. All shorts and skirts should be worn no shorter than four inches from the top of the knee. This will be measured from the top of the slit if on a skirt.
7. Form-fitting, provocative, see-through, or torn clothing is prohibited. No skin can be visible between the pant and shirt at any time.

Dress Code for Dress Down Days
1. Shirts and tops must be school-appropriate and not revealing.
2. Jeans are allowed during dress down days. Jeans may be any color or pattern but must not have holes or tears in them of any kind.
3. Dress down clothing cannot have inappropriate writing on it, fit appropriately, and must not interrupt the safety of the learning environment.

Help us build up our clothes closet! Needs are for short sleeve polo shirts and pants/shorts, both girls and boys from XS to XL. Bring 3 items and get a dress down day September 6!

Open House and Club Fair
Thursday, August 31, 2023
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm; Food Truck will be present @ 5 for dinner;
Falcon gear will be sold in the cafe, and a club showcase will be available

Parents will move through student's schedule with announced rotation starting @ 6:15

The Sullivan Middle School SIC will participate in NAMIWalks! We have a goal of $100. You do not need to contribute to participate. Show up and show your support!

Great job, parents, on our drop off procedures! The line is moving quickly and students are arriving on time!

Please remember that student supervision for Sullivan Middle School begins at 7:45. In addition, the car rider line for pick up begins at 2:45. If you arrive prior, please park in the lot as Cherry Park Elementary School pick up will be running. After 3:35, students can be picked up from the front office.
