Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan visited LODL!
Celebrations
Throughout the school year all PLSAS elementary schools will have various celebrations that may include student learning, the seasons, E-STEM, and special school events. While we will not hold classroom parties for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day, we will provide a variety of celebrations and special events, with some that will include volunteer opportunities for family members.
Events and celebrations will be communicated by your child’s teacher or through the school office. Additionally, teachers will hold special celebrations of learning, depending on the grade level. We will honor and respect family traditions and holidays and invite students to share their traditions during morning meetings, conversations, and share & tell activities.
We look forward to a year of learning and a year of celebrating students!

Student surveys
Dear PLSAS Families,
I am writing to inform you about our annual online stakeholder surveys, which will offer parents, staff and students (grades 3-12), an opportunity to provide input to our school district with the goal of helping us improve.
The mission of Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is to educate all learners to reach their full potential as contributing and productive members of our ever-changing global community. To achieve that mission, PLSAS is committed to evaluating its strengths and opportunities for improvement. Stakeholder feedback from parents, staff and students is a critical part of our efforts.
The parent survey will be sent in a follow-up email to you on February 6. The survey is anonymous and summary results will be posted to our website.
Student surveys will be administered to grades 3-12 during the school day anytime between February 6-24, 2023. You can view the student survey questions here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MgzQtstdhgWcXoPbpF9A9kf68P9wmYYwho5_LysV8RM/edit?usp=sharing The survey is voluntary for students. Student survey responses are kept confidential. Teachers and other school staff only see summary information and an overall student survey summary will be posted to our website.
You may choose to have your son or daughter not participate in the survey. To opt-out, please contact Kristi Mussman, Director of Communications, by February 3 at kmussman@plsas.org
For more information about our surveys, please visit our website
Thank you for your partnership in helping all learners reach their full potential!
