School Hours and Important Times

Office Hours: 8:15 - 4:15

Instructional Hours: 8:55-4:05

Arrival: Please do not drop off students prior to 8:25 AM. We cannot provide supervision of students prior to 8:25, therefore students may not enter until this time.

Breakfast: 8:25 - 8:55 AM

Students should be in class by 8:50 AM.

Dismissal is at 4:05 PM.

Walkers/Car riders are dismissed first, followed by bus riders.

Bus students are dismissed in the order that buses arrive.

Car line: Students must enter/exit a vehicle at the sidewalk area. Please pull forward as far as possible to keep the car line moving. All students must be picked up by 4:25 PM.

Tuesday, November 7 is a "Remote Learning Day"

Tuesday, November 7 is a state-wide election day and will be a remote learning day for students. This is due to the number of schools that are used as election polling sites. There is no live instruction and student can complete assignments online at their own pace. Teachers are not required to post an assignment, but will communicate expectations to students in avance. This is a great time to catch up on missing assignments!

Sneaker Ball Success!

We had a great time at the Sneaker Ball - lots of students want to know when we are doing it again! We will look for an opportunity to host another after school dance early in the second semester. MANY THANKS to the parent volunteers who helped make this possible as well as our staff chaperones for giving extra hours for some fun. Even our fire department enjoyed doing the "Thriller Dance" once we got the all clear!

Home Volleyball Games

It's volleyball season! Come cheer on the Hawks at home on the dates below. All students must be accomanpied by the adult who is driving them home. Unaccompanied students will not be admitted into the game. Thank you for helping us to create a safe, fun environment!

Jr. Knights Football Playoffs!

Congratulation to the 6th and 8th grade Jr. Knights football teams for making the playoffs! If you want to catch the games this weekend, come to Centennial HS on Saturday, November 4 to see 8th grade vs. Woodland at 1 PM and 6th grade vs. Kennesaw Mountain at 7 PM.

Bridges/North Atlanta Cotillion

WHO is invited to attend?

The Bridges/North Atlanta Cotillion is a dancing and manners program for 7th and 8th Grade students in the Elkins Pointe, Haynes Bridge, and Holcomb Bridge Middle School districts. Students from all schools are welcome. Please share with other families who might be interested.

WHAT will my student learn?

For 7th graders, basic ballroom and popular dance (shag, swing, free style, line dances and traditional slow dances) will be taught, as well as the important social skills and social media/technology etiquette the students will need to know now and throughout their lives. The season will culminate with two parties - a Showcase as parents observe all their child has learned, and a 1950's Sock Hop for all students.

For the 8th graders, the classes will review the basics taught in the year one grade program and learn many new dances including Latin, Swing, and the Hustle. Etiquette topics include job interviews, dating and the ever-popular Table Manners! The 8th grade program will end with a Dinner Dance that brings all their new skills into practice. New students are always welcome in the 8th grade class.

The classes provide a wonderful peer group activity in a local facility, and most of all, the students have FUN!

WHAT is The Cotillion Group?

The Cotillion Group is a well-respected and widely known organization that has taught students across the metro Atlanta Cotillion and social skills for over 30 years. The program offers a wonderful opportunity for your children to gain confidence in the many social and professional events they'll be facing in their upcoming high school years and beyond.
