Hello STEM Families

We have had so much fun this week! We've had our theme days and STEM challenges as a school and the classroom teachers have been doing all types of activities. Today we had our first every ALL school assembly in the gym for our 2nd quarter PBIS activity. Students have been purchasing raffle tickets for the past 3 weeks and today we picked our winners! When the K-2 students returned to their classrooms after the assembly, our older group stayed for a dance with a professional DJ! See our picture gallery below.


Next week we do have school on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday is a 1 hour early release. Parent-pickups will be released at 2:25 that day.

Paper Circuits

3rd graders experimenting with creating paper circuits to light up a lightbulb.

Making Nightlights

3rd graders used their practice from the paper circuits to create a nightlight using a limited number of materials. They even had to have an on/off switch.

Fifth Graders had to see how many "presents" their sleighs could hold.

2nd Quarter PBIS Assembly

For our 2nd quarter PBIS Assembly, students bought raffle tickets to win a prize. Each student could purchase as many tickets as they wanted for 5 points each (from their PBIS points). There were 7 prizes raffled: a pair of wireless earbuds, 2 tablets, 2 lego sets, a drone, and a game system. All students were extremely respectful to those that won. We also announced that our classroom dress-up competition winner of the week was Ms. Gibson's 5th grade classroom! They will be getting a pizza party on Tuesday, December 20th.
