Semester Two Is Here!
Dear Families and Community,
We were so glad to have students back in school last week after the extended weather event. I know the Terra Linda neighborhood was deeply impacted, and on behalf of our entire staff, I want to say how sorry I am to those of you who experienced hardship and are still working on regaining a sense of normalcy. I also want to be sure you know that if your family has any direct needs in the wake of the storm, we hope you will reach out to us in case we can connect you to any helpful District or community resources.
Below, you will find a very exciting line-up of our plans for a "Kindness Campaign" in the coming weeks. Our incredible 5th Grade Leadership group has been busy planning with our Behavioral Health & Wellness Team in order to create a memorable month of activities highlighting friendship and kindness. There will be a lot to do and a lot to celebrate!
My best,
Wendy ❤️

BSD students are given a public library card through BSD’s partnership with Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS).
New students enrolled between October 2022 and October 2023 received cards in the mail from November-December. Students with cards from previous school years can continue to use them. The cards have been renewed.
With the Student Library Card, students can:
• Check out up to five print books or audiobooks from any WCCLS library without any overdue fines
• Borrow ebooks in Sora from BSD and the public library (directions)
• Access Homework Help
• Access additional digital content
For more details about these cards, please see the BSD webpage about the partnership. Public Library Locations: Map and Hours
Terra Linda's Food and Hygiene Pantry
Thanks to our community's generous support of our food and hygiene drive, we have been able to collect remaining items and create Terra Linda's first Food and Hygiene pantry.
We hope to sustain this pantry throughout the school year for Terra Linda families.
We will gladly continue to accept food and hygiene donations to support our families. If you have items you would like to donate, please send them to school with your students or drop them off in the office.
Any families who would like to "shop" in our pantry, please call or stop by the office.
Once again, thank you for your continued support and generosity!
Behavioral Health & Wellness Team Partners with Beaverton Education Foundation
We have an exciting opportunity right now to create a better learning environment for all our students, especially those with greater sensitivity to light and sound. We want to provide light covers for classrooms and have a set of noise-reducing headphones to any student who needs them. We're partnering with Beaverton Education Foundation to raise money for these items and the first $500 in donations will be DOUBLED with a match from BEF.
Please join us in supporting our Terra Linda Tigers to provide a more calming atmosphere and create a better learning environment for all. Thank you!
