With new legislation regarding 988 and Crisis Textline (SB 279) and suicide prevention awareness (HB 3908), it is imperative to not only learn about our expectations in student safety, but spread awareness and have access to resources. SB 11 out of the 86th Legislative session deemed the Safe & Supportive Schools Team (formerly Behavior Threat Assessment team) the identified group of collaborative individuals who lead assessments regarding threatening situations for students and staff. In this training, participants will learn about ethical and legal responsibilities regarding behavior threat assessment and ways in which to help support safer schools.
