The Young Navigator
Director's Note:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well as we enter the beautiful month of November. It's hard to believe that the first few months of school have flown by, and we're excited to share the remarkable progress our students have made on our Fall student assessments. Their growth, learning, and boundless curiosity continue to inspire us every day.
Celebrating Our Students' Progress:
Since the beginning of the school year, we've witnessed your children forming new friendships, exploring the world around them, and embarking on a journey of discovery that fosters a lifelong love for learning. Their smiles and boundless enthusiasm are a testament to the dedication of our exceptional educators and staff. We deeply appreciate your trust in us to nurture your child's education and growth.
We eagerly anticipate the upcoming parent-teacher conferences, during which we'll have the opportunity to engage with each of you. In these meetings, we'll discuss the baseline assessments that we're commencing this month. These assessments will serve as valuable tools for our teachers and you, as parents, to guide and support the development of our students on their unique educational journeys. It's important to note that these initial fall conferences provide a foundational understanding of each child's strengths and areas that may need focus, enabling us to tailor our approach to meet the individual needs of every student.
Important Reminders:
1. Thanksgiving Closure: Our center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th. We hope you enjoy this special time with your loved ones.
2. Food Drive: We're excited to partner with HEB and the Houston Food Bank for a food drive from November 1st to November 15th. It's an opportunity for our children to learn the importance of giving and caring for those less fortunate. Please consider contributing to this noble cause.
3. Family Feast Celebration: Join us on November 16th for our Family Feast Celebration, where two adults per child are invited to celebrate Thanksgiving with our center family. More information on how to RSVP for this special event can be found in this newsletter.
4. Thanksgiving Week RSVP: We kindly request that you RSVP for your child's attendance during Thanksgiving week (November 21st - November 25th). This will help us plan staffing appropriately and allow our teachers to spend time with their families. See details in this newsletter.
5. Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent-teacher conferences will start the week of November 28th. Sign-up sheets will be available on the doors starting on November 10th. This is your opportunity to connect with your child's teacher and discuss their progress and the initial foundational assessment for the school year.
As we approach the holiday season, let us not forget the blessings we have and the opportunity to instill in our students the values of giving and caring. Together, we can teach them the importance of helping those less fortunate and making the world a better place.
We wish all our families a joyous and gratitude-filled November, and we look forward to continuing this incredible journey of growth and discovery with your children.
Warmest regards,
Crystal Fritz, School Director
