Carver's Weekly Update
Week of Monday, October 17, 2022
***In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all students and staff are asked to wear pink on Monday, October 17.
First quarter report cards have been sent through the mail and emailed to all parents. Parents may also view grades through the PowerSchool app. This app will enable parents to view grades, attendance, and meal balances daily. In addition, students have access to their grades through the Classlink app. They are able to access Classlink on their chromebooks.
Teachers will be available for conferences on Thursday, October 20 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please call into our main office (843-664-8156) to schedule an appointment to meet with your child's teacher. Students will be dismissed from school at 12:10 PM on this day.
Tardy Reminder-
All students should be in class by 7:45 AM each day. Students are considered late if they are still in the car line at this time. Traffic cones will be placed in the car line at 7:40 AM. This is when the car line will officially be shut down. Please drop off car riders prior to this time. Students will receive referrals when they are tardy or late to class. Tardy referrals will be enforced this quarter.

These tests will help determine which students may qualify for our gifted & talented program/REACH. Students should eat breakfast and get plenty of rest prior to going to school each morning. Parents may contact our guidance counselor, Melanie Sprenger, for additional information.
Bear Buck Celebration - Friday, October 21
Qualifying students will play on inflatables and may want to bring an extra pair of socks to school on this day.

A Snapshot of STEAM Learning
STEM in 4th Grade! Students in Mrs. Korb's class went to different planets to help save them from alien attacks by solving multi-digit multiplication problems. Students in Ms. Bryant's class used their wizarding math skills of double digit multiplication to escape the fierce dragon of the Carver Elementary Castle!
