Dress for Outdoor Play
Though occasionally we have to play indoors, typically we have recess outdoors. Please send your students with appropriate outdoor clothing. This week is wet, windy and snowy. Please send students with clothes for playing in the right weather conditions.
Parking Lot Etiquette
When dropping off your child, please pull up to the top of the driveway. If you need to exit your vehicle, use the visitor parking lot on the right hand side of the parking lot (closest to the Trails housing division). Do not drop off students in the staff lot. Also remember that cell phone use is prohibited while driving.
ELPAC Testing
All MES English learners will take the Summative English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) this spring. The Summative ELPAC measures how much progress your child is making in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. Summative ELPAC tests are administered to all English learners every spring until they are fluent in English. For additional resources, please see https://www.elpac.org/resources/parent-resources/.
