Be Kind * Be Safe * Be a Learner
Dear Pittman Grown-Ups,
If you can believe it, we are entering our last full week in September! Time sure does fly when you are having fun!
We have had a busy couple of weeks at Pittman Elementary! Last week two of our teachers, Ms. Hubbell and Ms. Chism were awarded grants from the Foundation at SPS! These grants will help provide play centers in kindergarten and learning journals in third grade.
We have continued to focus on ways to be safe and impulse control at Pittman this month. One way we practice safety is KHFAOOTY! Keep Hands, Feet and Other Objects To Yourself. This practice is to help keep everyone safe and in their own bubbles (personal space).
Students are busy earning Eagle points to spend in our school store. Today 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students were able to shop the store during lunch. Next week Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th graders will get to shop. Students are able to by fun coupons in our store like - "Bring a toy to recess" and "Bring a stuffed animal to school" coupon. Should your student buy one of these coupons, the parameters for these coupons are below.
Bring a toy to recess:
-Must be school appropriate.
-Cannot be electronic/remote control.
-Must be able to fit in a backpack.
Bring a stuffed animal to school:
-No larger than the backpack
Other Reminders:
- If you have not completed the Free and Reduced Lunch form, please complete it HERE. You only need to fill out one form per family. All families must reapply each year.
