LMDES December Spirit Month
Superintendent and Student Board Member Visit
Dr. Smith, our dedicated superintendent, and Ms. Lillian Kibler, the esteemed student Board of Education member, recently visited LMDES.
The focus of the visit was to engage with our 5th grade students in meaningful conversations about how SMCPS and LMDES students CARE by being Connected, Accountable, Resilient, and Excited to Learn. Our students had the opportunity to share their insights on what makes LMDES unique and how, as a school, we embody the principles of CARE.
Thank you for visiting, Dr. Smith and Ms. Kibler! We enjoyed our time with you.
Pre-K students are Excited to Learn
Pre-K has been working hard. They learned about man-made giants and built bridges and skyscrapers out of blocks. Students continue working on the letters in their names and completed a turkey name craft.

4th Grade Bird Watching
Fourth graders read A Wildlife Biologist in Coastal Louisiana. The personal narrative includes information about animal camouflage and bird watching. Mrs. Mileto's fourth graders learned how to use binoculars and spot birds.
