Boston Harbor Now: Eastie Week
July 9th - July 26th
Eastie Week is a celebration of the rich, vibrant, and resilient community of East Boston – its people, history, culture, music, and art. This year we’re delighted to celebrate TEN years of Eastie Week with two full weeks of activities taking place between July 9 and July 26. City of Boston Parks Movie Nights
City of Boston Parks Movie Nights | Mayor Wu’s Movie Nights are back this August + September. The family-friendly movies will be played at dusk in 10 community parks across the city. Find your nearest event.
Coolidge at the Greenway, Rose Kennedy Greenway | Coolidge Corner Theater will bring 35 mm showings to the Greenway, between Milk Street + Atlantic Avenue. Movies will begin at sunset.

- Aug. 16 — “It Came from Outer Space”
Boston Landing, Athlete’s Park Hills, Brighton | The pre-party kicks off an hour before the movie with a live DJ + free snacks. The movies begin at sundown on the inflatable screen.

Free Hatch Shell Concerts
All summer long, Boston hosts a number of wonderful concerts at the famed Hatch Shell along the Charles River Esplanade.
On Summer Wednesdays, The Boston Landmarks Orchestra performs free summer concerts at the Hatch Shell for all to enjoy. Bring a blanket or some chairs, & a picnic and you are all set for a wonderful night of entertainment along the banks of the Charles River.

Free Summer Meals
Starting July 10, Boston Summer Eats sites will be open at locations across the city offering free breakfasts and lunches to Boston children under age 19 during July and August.

Boston Food Pantry

When: Wednesdays and Saturdays
9:00am - 12:00pm
How to get food
- One member of your family needs to complete and submit the Registration Form at the Pantry during open hours:
- Proof of identity is required. Examples include a MassHealth or EBT card, utility bill, or car registration
- If you tell us you do not meet the USDA income eligibility guidelines, we will provide you with non-USDA food
- After your family is registered, a family member can pick-up food every Wednesday and Saturday between 9:00am - 12:00pm
- To pick-up food, the family member needs to bring proof of identity and the Family Registration Card to the Pantry
- We provide mostly fresh fruits and vegetables. When available, we also include meat, dairy and shelf-stable items like rice, beans, pasta, oats, nuts, dried fruit, canned tuna, soup, and peanut butter.
- When picking-up food, you can also visit our onsite Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) kiosk. Apply or manage your current benefits (including SNAP, TAFDC, EAEDC), upload and submit documents, and more. Pantry staff is here to help you!
