Happy September!

We are off to a great start in our new month!

It was so great to see so many families during our virtual Back To School Night last week! A special thank you and appreciation to all Carver Educators who did a fabulous job in their breakout rooms meeting and presenting their classrooms to families.

Be on the lookout for Principal Coffee Chats where you will be invited to hear up-to-date news about what is going on in our school!

Yall know we love you!

Our staff will be conducting wellness checks on all families during the month of September.

It is our way of making sure that you have all of the communication, information, and resources you need at this time.

If you have already spoken to your child's teacher before the first day of school, you will not receive another check-in.

If you have time, a talent, or any specialty that you can offer in your child's classroom, we are looking for you!

Each Carver Class will have two room parents to assist the Educator of the room.

Room Parents can do things like:

-volunteer in the classroom weekly to assist the teacher with organization, homework packets, and activity preparation

-assist with field trips

-work on the phone tree and spreading information about school and class events.

-leading a craft or activity in your child's classroom

If you are interested in being a Room Parent for your child's class, please fill out this form OR email Mrs. White (type your name, child's name, and teacher's name in your email) at (whitec1@sfusd.edu).

As a gentle reminder, school starts at 8:40 AM, with doors opening at 8:30 for breakfast.

Students are considered late at 8:41 am.

Please do your best to ensure your child arrives on time or early to school. EVERY ACADEMIC MINUTE COUNTS!

Also, please schedule doctor and dentist appointments after school hours (2:55pm or 1:40pm on Wednesdays.)

Early pick-ups cut into our academic time and disrupts our learning day. Please help us deliver on our promise to a full and robust academic day for all students. We thank you in advance.

Every Friday is Good Choice Ticket Friday!

Students will receive Good Choice Tickets for following the Carver Way:

-Be Safe

-Be Respectful

-Be Responsible

All tickets are entered into a drawing on Fridays, and chosen tickets are able to choose prizes and rewards!!

Please encourage your child to follow the Carver Way to increase their Good Choice tickets earned!

This Friday, all students who have turned in their Emergency Cards as well as their Lunch Forms will enjoy a Popcorn and Popsicle (sugar-free, of course) party courtesy of Principal Manning and Mrs. White!

Please, no early pick ups or absences on Friday! Your child deserves to be celebrated for a job well done!
