Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week is #TeacherAppreciationWeek! Let's lift up our teachers and staff who do so much for us! We have some suggestions for how to make them feel appreciated!
Monday Step Up! Bring a homemade thank you card for your teacher and staff!
Tuesday Stock Up! Find an item on your teacher’s wish list to surprise them!
Wednesday Grow Up! Bring teachers and staff a flower to create a beautiful bouquet!
Thursday Sweeten Up! Bring your teacher their favorite treat!
Friday Lift Up! Do an act of kindness to give teachers and staff a high five!Map Testing Continues
It is very important your child is present, healthy, and well-rested on assessment days. Please try to avoid appointments or late arrivals during our MAP testing window. Our Archdiocesan-assigned time for spring MAP assessments runs through May 12.
Thanks for Going Green!
Thank you to all the students and staff that participated in our Zero Waste Lunch this past week! Mrs. Silvernail estimates that we had somewhere between 75-90% participation (including those who ordered the Zero Waste Meal from the cafeteria). Mr. Raul said that normally he takes six large trash cans of refuse out after lunch. On Thursday, he only had half of one trash can! That's a huge amount we saved from the landfill by making an effort for ONE meal! Thanks for going green, St. Eugene! Remember, it's not about doing it perfectly all the time - it's about doing what we can, when we can.
Library Books
There have been a lot of emails bounced back regarding late books. Please make sure to add media@steugeneschool.org to your list of email contact.
