Hi Mayo Families!
A short week ahead before we all have extra time to be with friends and families for the Winter break! It may be a short week, but it is jam packed with activities! Fliers went home last week. Here is a reminder.
Monday is "Inside Out" day, as well as our concert rehearsal. Tuesday is "Crazy Hat/Hair" day, as well as our December "Choose to be Nice" Celebration. Students have been telling me how they are exhibiting "Acceptance" throughout the day. It is quite heartwarming! January's word of the month is Teamwork! Wednesday is Pajama Day and Thursday is "Dress up" day (for the concert of course!)
The students have been practicing extra to ensure an incredible Holiday Concert on Thursday. We understand that things seem very different this year (especially for you veteran parents!) but we are confident you will enjoy the show, especially now that you will see all grades perform in each time slot!! The 2 shows will be as follows: 10:00 AM for audience/family members for student last names A-M and 2:00 PM for audience/family members for student last names N-Z! ALL students will be performing at both concert times so everyone will be able to see all performers. This performance will include K-5 students plus our new chorus members in grades 4&5!
If you must dismiss your child after the first show (although we hope this can be avoided since all voices are needed for the 2nd show) please report to Mrs. Trefry in the office and dismiss in the usual manner. We also politely ask that the audience stay for the entire show if possible. Finally, we will need to keep the doorway into the gym clear as students will be exiting through that door (see map).
Have a great week and a fabulous winter vacation! Parents.....Tag, you're it!
See you all January 2nd, 2024!
