A message from Perkiomen Valley High School
Half Day Oct 25
Students who attend NMTCC will follow the procedures for PV half days:
PV Half Days, there is tech October 25, February 7 and May 24
AM tech students will attend the tech school as they normally do. Once they return to the high school they will join their classes at PV. We will provide buses to the tech school at 11:30. Bagged lunches will be provided upon request for PM tech students. Please fill out the form below if a bagged lunch is requested. PM tech students are to attend study halls for periods 7-10 at PV.
SNAP: Scenes, Not a Play
An evening of monologues and scenes from various theatrical and movie productions. Black Box theater at its best. The performance is fast-paced and filled with comedic, soul-wrenching and even oddball antics. A roller-coaster of emotions, SNAP makes for a perfect theatrical experience!

Winter Coats
Student IDs
Please remind your students that wearing their ID is not optional. IDs are a part of the our safety plan. Safety is of the utmost importance to us. We have approximately 2000 people in this building and need to be able to quickly identify students and staff.
NCAA Eligibility Center
NCAA has specific requirements for student's who wish to participate in college athletics. Please refer to the NCAA Handbook for all of the information that you will need.
From the Nurse's Suite
With the end of the Public Health Emergency in May 2023, the COVID-19 reporting and isolation protocol was discontinued. There are no longer quarantine or isolation protocols for those who test positive for the COVID-19 virus. When sick, people are encouraged to remain home. If a fever is present, they must remain home and are not permitted to return until fever-free, without fever-reducing medication, for 24-hours. Please reach out to your family doctor or pediatrician as needed.

At the Vikings U-Night football game, we will honor and recognize the diversity within our community and the importance of fostering an inclusive environment for ALL learners. Be part of the fun as the community stands together to send a message of acceptance and belonging! Our goal is cover the stadium in blue in recognition of our commitment! Consider purchasing a United Vikings shirt to show your support.
Powder Puff Game Nov 14
Our annual Powderpuff Game will take place Nov 14 in our stadium. Please join us for an amazing night!
Power Packs
Power Packs are weekend bags of food for students experiencing food insecurity. The bags include 2 breakfast items, 2 lunch items, 2 snacks, and 2 fruits. All food is non-perishable. There is no financial information required to participate in this program.
PV Power Packs is a volunteer run organization and all information is kept confidential. Names are shared with school counselors who arrange for students to pick up their bags prior to every weekend.
Please fill out a separate form for each child that you would like to receive a Power Pack, including children not yet in school.
We will begin handing out Power Packs on September 8th. If your child received Power Packs last year, they will automatically receive them this year.

Working Papers
Working Papers can be issued if a student between the ages of 14 to 18 is applying for a job and working papers have not yet been issued. Working papers are required by the State of Pennsylvania until a student is 18 years old. Please send kgeorge@pvsd.org an e-mail for the instructions and procedures that has been established by the State of Pennsylvania.

Career Corner
ASVAB
If students are encouraged in pursuing the armed forces, or are looking for some guidance on what career path may be right for them, they are strongly encouraged to to take the ASVAB exam. The ASVAB can help your student: Learn about themselves and the world of work, explore occupations in line with their interests and skills, and develop an effective strategy to realize their career and education goals. Additionally, if passed, it can fulfill a student’s graduation pathways (Act 158), if they were not successful on their Keystone exams. It is being offered this November 8th, and permission slips are due in the counseling center by 10/25. FAFSA Completion Night
The Counseling Center will be hosting its annual FAFSA Completion Night on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 6-8pm in the high school library. This year, FAFSA opens up in December 2023. Representatives from Montgomery County Community College will be available to answer your questions. Please bring your computer/laptop.
Career Expo of Tomorrow
SAFE2SAY
Our students can submit an anonymous tip through the Safe2Say Program. Tips are typically related to a variety of challenges our students experience or witness, such as bullying, harassment, disrespectful language, safety concerns, etc. When a tip is received, the State (who runs Safe2Say) immediately follows up with building administrators
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
Did you know that the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline?
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
