Reserve Your Space and Mark Your Calendars for the 2023 Parkview Day - An extravaganza of activities highlighting our community and raising money for the Parkview PTSA.

Vendors - Pay $30 for a dedicated parking spot ($50 for two side by side) through 2/28/23, when the price goes to $35 a spot ($60 for two side by side). Bring your own set up (tables, tent, cash for change, etc.) and sell your stuff to families in the community - food, crafts, creations, and more*! You keep 100% of the profit. *No alcohol or CBD products allowed *Parking spots are approx. 9’X18’.

What we will provide:

• A dedicated parking space in the parking lot in front of the Parkview Gym.
• Activities to draw in people to see your wares
• Live entertainment - Kiddie Corner sponsored by school clubs AND Food Trucks!!

Why are we doing this?

The budget of the Parkview PTSA has been considerably impacted from changes over the last few years. We want to establish an annual fundraiser that is fun, benefits the community, and allows the PTSA to continue its great work. This day will help to unify the Parkview community to raise money to continue the Parkview PTSA programs like grants for teachers, school gifts, teacher/staff hospitality activities, Baccalaureate program, Reflections, and student advocacy.

Are you interested in Volunteering for the Special Olympics event at Parkview on Thursday, April 13th, 2023? The deadline to turn in your permission slip is March 15th.

You must turn in your permission slip with proof of t shirt purchase to Mrs. Reynolds or Coach Reynolds.

See Mrs. Reynolds in Rm. 3.175 for more information.

A student must bring a written note from the parent/guardian providing an explanation for an absence. A parent phone call or email will NOT excuse and absence. Students have two days upon return to school to provide a note. Notes must be turned in to the Attendance Office. If the student forgets to bring a note, the absence is considered unexcused. After 10 parent excuse notes in a school year the school may request additional documentation, including doctors notes, to continue to excuse absences and tardies.

Please remember there are NO CHECKOUTS after 1:30

The Attendance Office is where you can pick up your ADAP certificate and your Certificate of Enrollment after you order them on MyPaymentsPlus.

When will we register for classes for the 2023/24 school year?

Course Registration for the 2023/24 school year will take place in January & February. Look for the blue link to the Registration Hub on the Parkview website. The registration hub will contain the timeline and all the information needed for course registration for both students and parents.

• As a reminder, school begins at 7:15am. We are aware that traffic is heavy. Please leave home early enough to arrive to school and be in 1st period on time. Thank you for helping us have your student to school on time!
• If a student arrives to school after 7:30am, the student MUST check-in through the Attendance Office. If a student needs to leave school for any reason after arriving to school, the student MUST check-out through the Attendance Office. The Attendance Office is located inside the main building lobby.

Please remember to bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook Daily! It is important to have these everyday for class use.

• Bring outside food or have it delivered to anywhere on the school grounds, but please do finish any outside food before you arrive on campus and enter the school.
• Have flowers/balloons/gifts delivered to the school, but please enjoy your celebration at home.
• Expect to check your student out after 1:30, but please do have your student bring a note first thing in the morning so they can get a pass to check-out.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery(ASVAB)is an optional aptitude career exploration test offered to sophomores, juniors and seniors each year. This test is designed to help you discover special skills and potential abilities you may have. Your test results along with an exploration guide will help you explore careers and plan your future.

Although the Department of Defense administers the test, students are under NO OBLIGATION to the Military in any way.

Preparations for Parkview Prom 2023 are now being made. Prom will be on April 15th at the Georgia Tech Hotel Ballroom in downtown Atlanta from 7:30pm to 11pm. For more information click here.

We are accepting nominations for Officers for the 2023-2024 School Year. The officer positions open for 2023-2025 term are Vice President and Secretary. If you are interested in being an officer or committee chair for next school year, email PKVWPTSA@gmail.com. PTSA meetings are Tuesday nights, at least one week a month. Officer Elections will be held May 9, 2023 @ 7 pm.

If you have not yet joined the PTSA, we can always use your support! The Parkview PTSA gives grants to teachers, scholarships to students and puts on events throughout the year.
