Dress According to Handbook
Too many of our scholars
are deliberately violating
dress code expectations, as
a result dress code will be in
full affect with immediate
consequences.
* Our dress code colors
are Hunter Green or
Black with khakis.
*If a scholar is out of
dress code we will
attempt to correct it
with uniforms we may
have left on campus.
* If not scholar will be
allowed to call home
for someone too bring
a change of clothing
* Periodically PTO may have a Free Dress Day on Friday's, listen for the announcements and how to participate in that event.
Student Code of Conduct
Remind our scholars to
become familiar with the
Student Code of Conduct.
We recognize that we are all
under a lot of stress with the
uncertainties from this
pandemic, however we all
must function together on
AMS campus.
I'm asking, that you please
have discussions with your
scholars about the
importance of not fighting
while on campus.
We will not tolerate fighting of any
kind. We are servant leaders
and find ways to help each
other and to be kind to each
other.
If your scholar feels
that they are being harassed,
bullied or mistreated by
peers or staff they need to
let an adult know and not
take matters into their own
hands.
If scholars fight and don't
allow the campus adults an
opportunity to intervene and
help resolve the issue the
proper way we will issue the
maximum consequences.
Please help us out with this
matter as we go forth.
A Note From Principal Brown
We had an exciting week of learning and fun.
Thanks to all that came out and supported "Stranger Things", Curriculum Night. The turnout was amazing.
Our scholars went on Artist Boat field trip, participated in Bryan Museum poetry recognition and celebrated our veterans on Veterans Day.
We recognized two of our teachers Mrs. Starkey and Mrs. Sanders, they both were grant winners.
This week we are preparing for our Thanksgiving break, but we are still focused on our academics. We ask all of our scholars come ready to give it their all this week.
Again, thanks for all you do to help make Austin Middle School a great place for learning. Help me remind our scholars to stay focused and follow the campus expectations.
Thanks,
Mr. Brown
Curriculum Night, Grant Winners, Artist Boat Trip, Robotics, Bryan Museum Poetry and Veterans Day. What a week at Austin Middle School!
