Merry Christmas
From the CTE Primary Pathway Team
Environmental Science Lessons and Field Trips
This year all four elementary schools were bused out to the beautiful Tahoe Paradise Park in Meyers. Surrounded by mountains and trees with the river flowing by students learned all about the importance of water in South Lake Tahoe.
Our 6th graders, were bused up to the Caldor Fire burn area at Echo Summit- a first for many of them. Taking part in the restoration of our community was truly an immeasurable experience for students and teachers.
Meanwhile 7th graders enjoyed a new field trip experience on the M.S. Dixie thanks to Aramark Destinations.
Our CTE team of two also added some new front loading lessons for K-5th grades. Students enjoyed spending time in their school gardens- planting, pruning, weeding, harvesting and more while learning all about the environment of South Lake Tahoe.
Thank you to all of our STEEC partners who continue to support and provide amazing educational field trips for K-12th grades.
